10 Facts About Team Legacy
Hello, we are Sam and Lydia AKA Team Legacy. Right now we may be strangers, but after you read this we can be friends. Here are 10 things about us:
1. Bucees Romance
We fell in Love in a Bucees parking lot near Waco, Texas and we bonded over Bucees Fudge. At this time Lydia was a biochem major at Baylor university and Sam was a business owner of an oversize transportation company.
2. Movers
By the time we started in real estate in Utah we had lived in 6 Homes in 4 different states. We have rented, we have owned new construction, we have owned an older home, and we have owned over 150 acres of raw land.
3. Military Service
Sam joined the Marine corps in 2024 and is now an 0311 Infantry Marine. We love working with and supporting our Service Members and Veterans.
4. Travelers
We love to travel and Lydia has been to 49 states and 8 countries Sam has been to 46 states and 3 countries. In addition to vacations we have both lived on the road and we have been to every small town from coast to coast. People tell Sam “I’m from a small town called Burley Idaho no one has heard of it” and Sam can tell them about the mainstreet of their town. Trucking was such a unique way to explore the USA.
5. City and Country
Our dream home is a modern top floor penthouse in SLC, but of course we want a mountainside country escape as well. Lydia has always lived in the city and sam has always lived in the country. We both want to do both.
6. Family
We have two beautiful girls who bring so much light to our lives. They motivate us to do our best in everything we do. Kids watch our every move and we know we have to set a good example because they will shake the world one day so we have to work hard so they can learn that they can achieve anything through hard work.
7. Did we say movers?
By the time Sam was 27 he had lived in 29 homes and by the time Lydia was 25 she had lived in 25 homes. States we have lived in include AL, LA, TX, MT, NE, UT, AZ, MD. We are literally experts in moving, buying and selling, and renting.
8. Books and Movies
Our family loves Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Anime. We enjoy reading a series and watching it come to life in a show or movie. We also love historical fiction shows that use real history to tell stores like Vikings and The Last Kingdom.
9. Experienced Owners and Sellers
One time we bought a house before we ever stepped foot in the house. We had to move quickly and we ended up buying a house before touring it in person. Another time we spent months looking at rental properties before we picked one. We know that every situation can be so unique because we ourselves have been in unique situations.
10. Our Goal
Our Goal in real estate is to meet interesting people and help them solve their problems related to real estate. We have learned a lot about buying and selling real estate over our lives and it is enjoyable for us to share that with others.
